FAQs: Your Session. Your Profile.

Got questions about your session, headshots, or business portraits? Here are the answers—clear, direct, and to the point.

What are the pricing options for portrait sessions with Michael Kleinespel?

Most offers look cheap at first glance—but they deliver standard photos without any real impact. I don’t do "standard." I create portraits with character. Prices start at €149 for two finished portraits. In the end, it’s not about the price; it’s about the result: a powerful image that works for you and pays for itself in no time.

What’s the difference between a "headshot" and a business portrait?

A classic headshot looks "neat." A business portrait shows presence. I don’t use flat, shadowless lighting. I use cinematic light to make your competence and personality visible.

What should I wear?

Wear something that fits your role and makes you feel confident. Simple beats loud. Keep it clean rather than busy. If you’re unsure, we’ll figure it out together before the session.

What is the session like?

Focused and relaxed. I’ll give you clear directions—no awkward "just stand there" moments and definitely no "Fisematenten" (nonsense). You’ll get instant feedback on your expression and posture until the shot is perfect.

How long does it take?

Depending on your package, usually between 60 and 90 minutes. I don’t work with a stopwatch. No rush—but no wasted time either.

How do I choose my images?

You’ll receive a selection gallery to decide in peace. At the studio, we usually just do a pre-selection where I’ll help you spot the strongest shots.

When will I get my final images?

Usually within a few days after you’ve made your selection. If you’re in a hurry, just let me know in advance.

Are the images retouched?

Yes—but naturally and precisely.

You’ll look like you on your best day. Or like you on your best day three years ago. 😉

I’m camera-shy—is that a problem?

Not at all. It’s completely normal.

That’s exactly what the session is for. I’ll lead you so you feel secure—even if you’re not used to being in front of a lens.

Where can I use the images?

For everything concerning your professional presence: LinkedIn, your website, press releases, keynote speeches, or high-end applications.

Where does the session take place?

In my studio in Bottrop or on-location at your office—whether in the Ruhr area (Essen, Dortmund, etc.) or Frankfurt am Main. On-location sessions involve more logistics. I charge a transparent travel fee of €1.00 per kilometer (round trip from Bottrop), with a minimum logistics fee of €75.00. Actual costs for hotels (3-4 stars), parking, and expenses are charged against receipts.

How do I book?

Right here via the booking page. Pick a slot, book it, done. Prefer the phone? Give me a call.

Are these photos suitable for LinkedIn?

Yes—that’s exactly what they’re built for. For many of my clients, their LinkedIn headshot is their primary business portrait. If you want more, I can help you build your entire LinkedIn profile to make sure your digital presence actually converts.

Do I really need a professional photo?

If you want to be seen: Yes. The first impression is digital these days. Your image decides whether you’re taken seriously or not.
